Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Zoamet Nasal Spray or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before using Zoamet Nasal Spray. Avoid taking Zoamet Nasal Spray if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or if you have undergone recent trans-nasal surgery. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism or heart disease, inform your doctor before taking Zoamet Nasal Spray. You are recommended to remove nasal fluids before applying Zoamet Nasal Spray by blowing the nose. Avoid sharing Zoamet Nasal Spray with other people to prevent the spread of infection. Oxymetazoline nasal drops can be safely used in children.

Directions for Use

Use Zoamet Nasal Spray as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before using Zoamet Nasal Spray. Nasal spray: Insert the tip of the bottle into a nostril while closing the other nostril and spray towards the sides of the nostril. Keep your head straight and breathe gently. Repeat the same process for another nostril. Nasal drops: Tilt your head back, hold the dropper over the dose, and apply the prescribed number of drops to the nose. Bend your head slightly forward and move it gently left and right. Avoid sneezing or blowing your nose for at least a few minutes after using the drops.

Zoamet Nasal Spray belongs to the class of medications called nasal decongestants primarily used to treat nasal congestion (stuffy nose) caused by hay fever (allergic rhinitis), common colds, flu, sinusitis, or other allergic sinusitis. Nasal congestion also known as stuffy nose occurs when nasal passages become swollen with excess mucus and fluid.

Zoamet Nasal Spray contains Oxymetazoline, a nasal decongestant that works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels in the linings of nasal passages. Thus, Zoamet Nasal Spray provides relief from congestion and decreases mucus production. 

Use Zoamet Nasal Spray as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Zoamet Nasal Spray for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Some people may experience irritation or dryness of the nasal mucosa (tissue lining the nasal cavity), local burning sensation, headache, and nausea.
