Betadine Vaginal Pessaries is used to treat vaginal infections. It contains Povidone iodine that has fungicidal, bactericidal, and trichomonacidal action. It is useful in treating blood, pus, and vaginal secretions caused due to infection. It is effective against infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa. It is also helpful in pre-operative disinfection and diagnostic procedures for acute and chronic infections of the vagina (vaginitis).

Betadine Vaginal Pessaries is a fungicidal, bactericidal, and trichomonacidal agent used to treat vaginal infections, including vaginal candidiasis, Gardnerella vaginitis/bacterial vaginosis (bacterial overgrowth in the vagina), trichomonal infections, and vaginal inflammation/vaginitis. It also relieves vaginal soreness, itching, and irritation. Vaginal infection is the infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva). 

Betadine Vaginal Pessaries contains Povidone Iodine that works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, iodine can easily penetrate microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. It is effective against infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, yeast, and protozoa.

Common side effects of Betadine Vaginal Pessaries include vaginal pain/soreness, burning sensation, irritation, itching, swelling, redness in the vaginal area, and vaginal dryness.
