Medicinal Benefits

Calbona-XT Tablet is a Vitamin used to prevent and treat nutritional deficiencies, primarily during pregnancy. It contains ’Calcium, L Methyl folate (folic acid), Methylcobalamine (Vitamin B12), Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate (Vitamin B6) and Vitamin D3. It is used to strengthen bones, joints and muscles. Calbona-XT Tablet helps in blood production and also helps in protecting the foetal brain cells for optimal growth and development. Calbona-XT Tablet works by enhancing the calcium and mineral content of bones. In addition, Calbona-XT Tablet promotes normal functioning and strength of muscle cells. Calcium helps by restoring normal calcium levels in the body, required for optimal functioning of bones and joints. Vitamin D3 is an active form of Vitamin D, which increases the production of carrier proteins responsible for mobilising calcium ions from the gut into the body, replenishing its stores. Vitamin D3 also activates bone-producing cells (osteoblasts) and reduces urinary loss of calcium from the body. Hence, Vitamin D is vital in maintaining adequate levels of calcium in the body. L-Methyl folate, a form of folic acid has multiple uses. It is an important ingredient required for the production of blood. It also acts as a promoter in the manufacturing of mood-lifting hormones responsible for regulating mood and helps combat mood swings and depression. Folic acid is also extremely important for the normal functioning of the nervous system and aids the development of the foetal brain. Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), is essential for DNA synthesis and is hence vital in the production of healthy blood cells and also in providing for foetal growth and development. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent any neural tube defects. Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate is a form of pyridoxine (Vitamin B6), which is also very useful in the production of red blood cells. Overall, Calbona-XT Tablet helps in treating and preventing anaemia and promoting the normal development of cells.
