Do not use Clinwax Ear Drops if you notice any swelling, discharge from the ears, or tinnitus (ringing sounds in the ears), as it may indicate ear inflammation. While instilling the ear drops, do not push the dropper into the ear. Clinwax Ear Drops is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Before taking Clinwax Ear Drops, inform your doctor if you have hearing problems (including deafness), intestinal problems (including blockage, swelling, ulcers), kidney problems, myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disease), and Parkinson's disease. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Directions for Use

Lie down with the affected ear facing upwards. Hold the dropper over the ear and instil the prescribed number of drops into the ear. Continue to lie on your side for two minutes to allow the drops to reach the base of the ear canal. Repeat the procedure for the other ear if needed. Do not touch the dropper to the ear or surrounding areas to avoid contamination.

Clinwax Ear Drops belongs to the class of medications called ‘Otic agents’ used to soften the impacted earwax. Earwax build-up occurs due to an ear infection, inflammation, injury, or other conditions such as bone deformations in the ear, skin diseases such as eczema (skin inflammation), or narrowed ear canals.

Clinwax Ear Drops contains Paradichlorobenzene, Benzocaine, Chlorbutol, and Turpentine oil. Paradichlorobenzene acts as a hydrating agent. It softens the ear wax by reducing its thickness. Benzocaine acts as a local anaesthetic and prevents pain. Chlorbutol acts as a wax softener. Turpentine oil acts as a lubricating agent. Together, Clinwax Ear Drops helps soften the ear wax.

Clinwax Ear Drops is for otic (ear) use only. The common side-effects of Clinwax Ear Drops are difficulty sleeping, skin irritation, redness, and headache. These side-effects are usually mild and temporary that doesn’t require medical attention. However, inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use Clinwax Ear Drops if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you have inflamed ear canal, perforated eardrum, or eczema (skin inflammation) on the outer ear.  It is not recommended for use in children below 1 year of age.
