DIGUSIL MPS TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. DIGUSIL MPS TABLET is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), magnesium hydroxide (antacid) and dimethicone (antiflatulent). About DIGUSIL MPS TABLET

DIGUSIL MPS TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.

DIGUSIL MPS TABLET contains Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and dimethicone. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Dimethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as constipation, loss of appetite, weakness and diarrhoea. Inform your doctor before taking DIGUSIL MPS TABLET if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking DIGUSIL MPS TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. DIGUSIL MPS TABLET should not be given to children as safety has not been established.
