Medicinal Benefits

Diximax Gel is a combination of three medicines, namely: Diclofenac sodium, Methyl salicylate and Menthol. Diximax Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation in joint disorders. Diclofenac sodium and methyl salicylate work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation such as redness and swelling. Menthol works by causing a cooling sensation to the skin and then warming it up. This action helps in the improvement of blood circulation and thus provides relief from pain. Together, Diximax Gel provides relief from pain and inflammation.

About Diximax Gel

Diximax Gel belongs to a class of NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) primarily used to relieve joint pain due to arthritis. Arthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage. Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness (pain on touching) of one or more joints characterized by joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age.

Diximax Gel contains Diclofenac sodium, Methyl salicylate and Menthol. Diclofenac sodium and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain, responsible for causing pain and symptoms of inflammation. Menthol works initially by cooling the skin, followed by warming it up. This action helps in improving blood circulation and provides relief from pain.

Diximax Gel is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Like all medicines, Diximax Gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You might experience side effects such as burning or stinging sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Diximax Gel do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not use Diximax Gel if you are allergic to any of the contents. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Diximax Gel. Avoid contact of Diximax Gel with eyes, nose, and mouth. If contact occurs, wash with water immediately. Do not use Diximax Gel if you have had any recent heart surgery as Diximax Gel can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. Diximax Gel may increase the chances of stomach ulcers and bleeding.
