Coadministration of Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet and Cholestyramine may interfere with the absorption of Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet.

How to manage the interaction:
Although taking Cholestyramine and Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet together can result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by a doctor. However, if you experience Constipation, Diarrhea, Stomach pain, Nausea, or Loss of appetite, consult a doctor. Do not stop using any medications without consulting a doctor.

Although there is a possible interaction between Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's. Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. If you have an allergy to any sugars, inform your doctor before taking Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's as it may contain lactose. If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's.

Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and hemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Eldervit Xtra XT Chewable Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' primarily used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.
