Medicinal Benefits

Folmidon Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine, and Methylcobalamin. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate, a water-soluble Vitamin B. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is a water-soluble vitamin that treats and prevents vitamin B6 deficiency. It is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the creation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through neurotransmitter biosynthesis and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 and treats Vitamin B12 deficiency. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Together, Folmidon Tablet helps treat nutritional deficiencies.

Uses of Folmidon Tablet

Nutritional deficiencies, folate deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency and Vitamin B6 deficiency.

About Folmidon Tablet

Folmidon Tablet belongs to the class of 'Vitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin B6 deficiency, folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Folmidon Tablet helps in the growth and development of cells, boosts the immune system, balances vitamin content, metabolism of minerals, and helps maintain a healthy central nervous system.

Folmidon Tablet contains Folic acid, Pyridoxine, and Methylcobalamin. It prevents and treats low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency), and high blood levels of an amino acid, homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). Pyridoxine is also known as vitamin B6. It is a water-soluble vitamin involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Take Folmidon Tablet as advised by the doctor. Sometimes, Folmidon Tablet may have common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, drowsiness, flushing, and numbness/tingling. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.  However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects gradually.

Let your doctor know if you are using any other medicines or herbal products before starting Folmidon Tablet . If you are known to be allergic to Folmidon Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Please tell your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food).
