Gikit Sachet 1 gm is used in conditions such as antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, infectious diarrhoea, nosocomial diarrhoea, and lactose intolerance. Gikit Sachet 1 gm contains Racecadotril, Lactic acid bacillus, and Saccharomyces boulardii. Racecadotril works by decreasing the amount of salts and fluids secreted into the intestine, thereby making the stools less watery and helping in controlling diarrhoea. Lactic acid bacillus and saccharomyces boulardii are probiotics which help restore the balance of good bacteria that may have gotten upset due to antibiotic use or infections. Gikit Sachet 1 gm improves the intestinal environment, faecal characteristics, better regulation of motions and defecation frequency. It inhibits pathogens by producing antibacterial bacteriocins, enhancing phagocytosis, preventing pathogen attachment to the gastrointestinal epithelium, and strengthening the epithelium.
