Metholix Capsule is a combination of four drugs: Alpha-lipoic acid, folic acid, methylcobalamin and pyridoxine. Metholix Capsule is used to treat neuropathic pain in conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia. Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant that helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Folic acid is a vitamin that helps in providing essential nutrients to nerves. Methylcobalamin helps in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Pyridoxine is necessary for facilitating myelin and neurotransmitter synthesis. Together, Metholix Capsule helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain. Additionally, Metholix Capsule may also be used to treat fibromyalgia and post-herpetic neuralgia.
