Napigard Cream 15 gm promotes the healing of chapped skin and diaper rash. Diaper rash is an inflammatory reaction localized to skin areas usually covered by the diaper.
Napigard Cream 15 gm contains benzalkonium, lidocaine, and zinc oxide. Benzalkonium is used as an antiseptic, disinfectant, and antimicrobial preservative. It has antimicrobial properties against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Benzalkonium prevents skin infections and is used to clean wounds. Lidocaine belongs to the class of local anaesthetics known as 'numbing medication.' It helps reduce pain by blocking the nerve signals to the brain. It causes temporary numbness/loss of feeling in the skin and mucous membranes at the application site. Zinc oxide is a mild antiseptic and astringent (cleanses skin and tightens pores). Napigard Cream 15 gm is for external use. Take a small amount of Napigard Cream 15 gm on the finger and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area. Avoid contact of Napigard Cream 15 gm with nose, ears, mouth or eyes. In case Napigard Cream 15 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with warm water thoroughly. Napigard Cream 15 gm has common side effects, as every medicine does. These include local itchiness, redness, stinging sensation and irritation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Napigard Cream 15 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your physician.
