Can I wear contact lenses while using OFC Eye Drop?

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using OFC Eye Drop as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using OFC Eye Drop and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using OFC Eye Drop. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using OFC Eye Drop.

Does OFC Eye Drop cause blurred vision?

OFC Eye Drop may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.

Is OFC Eye Drop used to treat fungal eye infection?

OFC Eye Drop is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using OFC Eye Drop. Do not touch the container’s tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate OFC Eye Drop.Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Replace the outer cap after use. Eye ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
