Drug Warnings

Do not take Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension if you are allergic to any of its contents, debilitated (very weak); if you have severe stomach pain, partially or fully blocked bowel. Inform your doctor before taking Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems, history of appendicitis, rectal bleeding, a low-phosphate diet or if you are taking antibiotics. Avoid taking foods and drinks containing citrates with Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension as it might lead to increased serum levels of aluminium which can be harmful. Do not take Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension should not be given to children as safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension as it could lead to increased acidity. Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension may cause dizziness and drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.

Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension is a combination of four drugs, namely; Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium hydroxide (antacid), Oxetacaine (local anaesthetic) and Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn. 

Ph4-O Mint Flavour Oral Suspension is a combination of four drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, Oxetacaine and Simethicone. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide belong to a group of antacids, whereas oxetacaine belongs to local anaesthetics. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid.
