Silverex Heal Gel belongs to the group of medicines called antiseptic agents primarily used to treat and prevent infections in or around skin wounds, cuts, and scratches. A skin wound is a damage to the surface of the skin. Some types of wounds are cuts, scrapes, scratches, and punctured skin.

Silverex Heal Gel contains colloidal silver. It attaches to proteins on the cell walls of bacteria, disrupts their DNA, hampers vital functions and damages microbial cell walls. Thereby, Silverex Heal Gel helps prevent infections in the affected area.

Silverex Heal Gel is for external use only. In some cases, Silverex Heal Gel may cause common side effects like a burning sensation and irritation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Silverex Heal Gel do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

Please do not use Silverex Heal Gel without doctor advice if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any medicine. Do not take antibiotics and thyroxine while using Silverex Heal Gel because it may cause poor absorption. Silverex Heal Gel works by puncturing bacteria's cell wall, disrupting their DNA, and hampers vital cell functions. Thereby it effectively reduces the bacterial infection in or around the wounds.

Maintaining a minimum gap between Silverex Heal Gel and antibiotic medication is preferable. Absorption of antibiotics may be affected by Silverex Heal Gel when used together.

Avoid concomitant use of Silverex Heal Gel with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturizers, insect repellent creams, and other gels.

Apply Silverex Heal Gel to shallow wounds and completely fill the deep wounds. Cover with an appropriate dressing such as cotton dressing or gauze.

In rare cases, Silverex Heal Gel may cause argyria, a bluish-grey skin discolouration that is usually permanent. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
