Composition:
DROTAVERINE-80MG + PARACETAMOL-500MG
Uses:
Abdominal pain and cramps.
Medicinal Benefits:
Drolin-P Tablet consists of Drotaverine (antispasmodic) and Paracetamol (pain killer). It relieves abdominal pain, and muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract and gall bladder. Drotaverine works by reducing contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles of the abdomen. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevents the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, Drolin-P Tablet helps in relieving abdominal pain and cramps.
Drolin-P Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Drotaverine and Paracetamol. Drotaverine works by relieving contractions associated with smooth muscles of the abdomen. Paracetamol works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that cause pain.
Drolin-P Tablet may cause dizziness. So, drive only if you are alert and avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy.
Drolin-P Tablet is usually used for a short period and can be discontinued if there is no pain. However, it should be continued if advised by the doctor.
Drolin-P Tablet is to be carefully administered in patients with alcohol dependency or a history of kidney or liver damage. Please consult your doctor before starting Drolin-P Tablet if you have a medical history.
