Uzitel M 40mg/50mg Tablet SR contains Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptors. Angiotensin II constricts the blood vessels, so by blocking its effect, Telmisartan allows the blood vessels to relax and widen. Metoprolol Succinate helps to reduce blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Uzitel M 40mg/50mg Tablet SR helps in reducing the blood pressure to normal.

Uzitel M 40mg/50mg Tablet SR may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry; however, if a slow heart rate continues and you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.

Uzitel M 40mg/50mg Tablet SR may alter potassium levels. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking food rich in potassium, such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements.
