Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's contains Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Dolutegravir increases the immune cells that help fight infections in the body and decreases the amount of HIV in the blood. Lamivudine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate work by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus. Together, Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's helps in treating HIV infection.
Do not stop taking Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's without consulting your doctor as it may reduce the effectiveness of anti-HIV therapy. Continue taking Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you to treat your condition effectually. Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's might cause lactic acidosis (excess of lactic acid in the blood), a rare but severe side effect. Consult a doctor immediately if you experience stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, drowsiness, and deep rapid breathing, as these could be the signs of lactic acidosis.
Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's may cause bone problems such as bone pain, softening or thinning of bone which might lead to bone fractures. A regular bone density test is advised while taking Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's.
Antacids, laxatives, or other medicines containing magnesium, aluminium or buffered medicines (medicines used to neutralise stomach acids) should be taken 2 hours before and 6 hours after taking Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
You can take iron or calcium supplements with Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's if you have taken Diltra 50 mg/300 mg/300 mg Tablet 30's with food.
