FAQs

Monflox OZ Oral Suspension contains Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase which is required for the production of DNA replication, transcription, and repair. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Together, Monflox OZ Oral Suspension helps in treating bacterial infections.

Monflox OZ Oral Suspension may cause photosensitivity (sensitivity to sunlight) and can make you sunburn easily. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Always wear protective clothing and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before going out.

It is recommended to complete the course of Monflox OZ Oral Suspension even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Monflox OZ Oral Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.

Co-administration of magnesium and aluminium-containing antacids, sucralfate, and iron-containing preparations with Monflox OZ Oral Suspension may reduce the absorption. Therefore, you are advised to take Monflox OZ Oral Suspension two hours before such preparations.

Do not take Monflox OZ Oral Suspension on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections.

Consult your doctor before taking Monflox OZ Oral Suspension if you have diabetes, as Monflox OZ Oral Suspension may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar levels). Regularly monitor blood sugar levels while taking Monflox OZ Oral Suspension to avoid unpleasant events.
