NE C Tablet belongs to the class of  'nutritional supplements' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies due to various complications or long-term disease. It is used to treat and prevent folate deficiency, anaemia (lack of red blood cells), vitamin B12 deficiency, and neurological diseases such as peripheral neuropathy (nerve disorder) and seizures (fits), muscle weakness, heart or liver problems.

NE C Tablet contains folic acid, levocarnitine, and methylcobalamin. Folic acid (vitamin B9) replenishes the deficient folic acid in the body. It helps in the production of healthy red blood cells and DNA. Levocarnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that helps your body turn fat into energy. It works by improving the low levels of carnitine in the body. Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) regulates body functions like cell growth, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It also prevents nerve damage by forming a protective layer (myelin) around the nerves.

You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of NE C Tablet are diarrhoea, nausea (feeling sick), and vomiting. These side-effects are mild and don’t require medical attention. However, inform your doctor if any of these side-effects persist or get worsen.

Do not take NE C Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Before taking NE C Tablet , inform your doctor if you are taking any prescription, non-prescription medicines, herbal products, or dietary supplements. Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), cancer, kidney dialysis, optic nerve damage, hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood), and stent in the heart. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You are advised to stop taking medicines for indigestion (antacids) within two hours of taking NE C Tablet .

Do not use NE C Tablet if you are allergic to NE C Tablet or any of its contents. Let your doctor know if you have a history of seizures (fits), liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, obesity, hypokalemia, optic nerve damage, diabetes before using NE C Tablet . Please inform your doctor if you are using any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, herbal supplements. Do not take NE C Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. NE C Tablet safe to be given to children below 12 years of age, infants, and newborns, yet the doctor's consultation is advised. Do not take antacids before or after 2 hours of taking NE C Tablet as they may interfere with the action of NE C Tablet . Do not consume excess alcohol while using NE C Tablet as it may interfere with the drug absorption in the body.

• Serum levels of Cyanocobalamin present in NE C Tablet may be lowered by the use of oral contraceptives.
• For pernicious anemia,  the blood picture must be examined regularly.
• Monitor your blood glucose levels regularly while using NE C Tablet .
