Vovilup Hot Gel belongs to the class of medications called 'Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis and low back pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles and ligaments. Osteoarthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage.
Vovilup Hot Gel contains Diclofenac, Capsaicin, Methyl salicylate, Linseed, and Menthol. Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate are pain killers which work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Capsaicin is a natural extract of chilli pepper which work by blocking the pain messengers to the nerves. Linseed oil possesses anti-inflammatory properties which inhibits inflammatory mediators like leukotrienes (LK), thereby reducing inflammation. Menthol is a soothing and cooling agent which provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Vovilup Hot Gel helps provide relief from mild to moderate pain in various types of musculoskeletal and joint conditions.
